How much does a 5-page business website cost?
$1,800 USD fixed here, shipped in 7 days with a CMS you edit yourself. Agencies commonly quote $5,000–$15,000+ USD and 3–6 weeks for the same scope. The price is locked in a written quote before the deposit - and there's usually nothing ongoing, because hosting typically lands on free tiers.
Can a real business website be built in a week?
Yes - when the scope is fixed and one senior engineer does the whole build. Five pages, CMS, SEO setup and launch fit in 7 days because there are no hand-offs or approval queues; the schedule above shows where each day goes. What doesn't fit in a week: e-commerce, user accounts, or content that doesn't exist yet.
Which CMS do you use, and will I be locked in?
Payload CMS, open source and running inside the same Next.js codebase as your site. The editing screen lives at /admin on your own domain, the content sits in a Postgres database in your Vercel account, and there's no third-party CMS account or per-seat fee. The content schema is code in your repo, so any developer can pick it up after me. I'd swap it only if your content needs a multi-editor SaaS workflow, and that's settled at quote stage.
Can I really edit everything myself?
Yes, that's what the CMS is there for. Text, images, new posts, new testimonials: all yours to change without touching code. At handover I'll walk you through exactly how.
What counts as a page?
A distinct layout with its own URL - home, services, about, contact, and one more is the typical shape. Repeatable content like blog posts count as one template, not one page each: a blog with fifty posts is still one of your five.
What will hosting cost me?
Usually nothing - the site deploys to your own Vercel account, and a five-page business website sits comfortably inside Vercel's free tier. The CMS database and image storage sit on free tiers in the same account for a site this size. No hosting margin, no markup.
